Core Green Environmental Program
Core² Computing is an environmentally friendly supplier of computer
parts and systems. Please see below for a brief but not necessarily
inclusive list of things we are doing to protect the environment.
1) Core² Computing is a dedicated systems recycling facility. We
collect ALL types of old components, working or not working. All
received components will be thoroughly examined; all working parts will
go into refurbished systems, which will then be donated to the 'Core
Friends Program'. Anything that can not be reused will be given to a
local Cambridge recycling facility for the purpose of keeping tonnes
more junk out of our landfills.
2) Core² is happy to use Asus Green Technology in all of it's dedicated
workstations. Using components that ensure the continued happiness of
our environment allows for a better world in which to use all of these
awesome technologies.
3) Core² is a member of the O.E.S (Ontario Electronic Stewardship); a
government program dedicated to collecting funds for the purpose of
assisting with general electronic devices and systems. For every
component, system and accessory you buy, a small fee is sent to the
government to aid with the recycling cost of the product, ensuring a
great means of reducing overpopulation in the landfill due to the highly
disposable nature of electronic consumption.
